The wife, daughter, granddaughter, and great-great granddaughter of ministers, Daphne committed her life to fulltime Christian service at sixteen. Receiving her BA in Religion from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a minor in Greek and Hebrew, she then attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with hopes of going into Youth Ministry and eventually writing youth curriculum. There she met and married Rick Murrell, a youth and music minister. Realizing that the possibility of working on a church staff with her husband would be next to impossible, Daphne simply gave herself to the church in whatever capacity she could.

A mother of three, and a homeschooler for many years, Daphne dedicated herself to her family and to her church, and through that time she came to cherish the relationships that God placed in her life. It was through this period that God taught her life is all about relationships: they are always the priority. Now a substitute teacher in the public school system, AWANA commander for her home church, Sunday School teacher, author, musician, as well as wife and mother, Daphne continues to commit herself to the relationships in her life and encourages other to do the same.

"There are no sacrifices too large to make for those in our sphere of influence. If God places a person in my life, good or bad, I have to believe there is a purpose behind it. Is He conforming me more into His image, or using me to help conform another? God is about people, so I must be too."

Whatever Daphne is called to do, she views it as a Divine appointment. Her goal is to make each meeting, whether her Sunday School class or a conference of hundreds, an unforgettable and relevant experience. To hear the Word and leave unchanged is sorrow.
